ABSTRACT
The present paper gives an account of five taxa of powdery mildews collected in their anamorphs. Of these, two taxa belong to their form genus Oidium and three are assigned to their teleomorphs, Leveillulaand Sphaerotheca. Of these, Oidium sesami Sreenivasulu et al. is a later homonym of Oidium sesami (Paul & Kapoor) Hosag. et al. Since the former taxon has got distinctly lobed appressoria in contrast to entire one. Hence, a new name has been proposed to it.
