Twelve taxa of Fissidens Hedw. Viz., Fissidens bryoides Hedw., F. griffithii Gangulee, F. involutus ssp.curveno involutus, F. javanicus Dozy & Molk.,  F. lexus Sull. & Lesq., F. orishae Gangulee, F. pulchellus Mitt., F. ranchensis Gangulee, F. semiperfalcatus Dixon, F. subangustus M. Fleiseh.  F. subpulchellus Nork. and F. virens Thawaites & Mitt., collected from different localities of Andhra Pradesh, are new distributional records for the state.
